Absolutely excellent breakfasts, and helpful staff.

The venue is clean, with marvellous location short walk to bell tower in a kind of park, the centre of Xi'an and public transport and the airport bus stop. Good service, parking on site: )

We particularly appreciated the very well trained staff; English speaking staff in the lobby and the excellent staff in the Azur restaurant. The Sofitel gave us a free upgrade to the spacious and well supplied junior suite (two huge windows with window seats !). The breakfast buffet is astounding, and superb quality. Every corner of Sofitel is shining clean and beautifully decorated. You can certainly spend less in Xian, but quality like this would cost a fortune in America or Europe, so why not enjoy some luxury? Not the hotel closest to 'city attractions', but we like to walk.

I really can't think of anything we didn't like. We thought the glass enclosed toilet was odd, but amusing.

Location was very good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Restaurants and coffee shops in the hotel were good.

The hotel is split into two wings and sometimes you have to cross from one wing to the other to reach a restaurant, a coffee shop, the gym or the spa
